WKN is back to Germany with Fighting Rookies 5 in November

WKN European amateur title will be contested at Fighting Rookies 5 in Volkspark Halle (Saale), Germany on November 21. The event was originally scheduled for mid March, but was postponed due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The top of the bill will see Robert Varkentin and Peder Jepsen Mikenta battling it out for WKN European amateur title in the middleweight class. The contest is scheduled for five by two minute rounds. The WKN supervisor is Klaus Hagemann.

Fighting Rookies 5 is presented by Ingo Baberski of Fight Academy Merseburg.

The rest of the card will see a series of kickboxing, boxing and MMA bouts.

The previous Fighting Rookies event was held in March 2019, when local Ronny Kamenik defeated Luca Renzi of Italy and earned WKN European welterweight amateur title.

Rising Stars by WKN to launch at HDH 104 in Madrid

The RISING STARS championship for junior competitors is set for its first event this summer in Madrid, Spain, joining HDH 104.

The 58 kg international contest will see Spain’s Poll Lloret, representing “Internacional Gym” under the patronage of Luis Lloret, up against Latvia’s Nikita Bricis, coached by Yuri Bricis at “Only Fighters Gym”.

RISING STARS is set to continue building a new generation of prominent athletes around the Globe. The first-timer winning the belt will be dubbed “Bronze”, where the title equals national championship. The second belt is titled “Silver”, with continental title on the line. “Gold” is awarded to athlete winning the third belt – world championship.

The competitors will be classified not only by the country they represent, but also by their gym, giving an opportunity to gym owners to regain prominence.

HDH 104 is presented by Chinto “El Samurai” Mordillo. In the main event Karla Benitez will defend her WKN International flyweight MMA title. In the co-main event Sergio Cabezas will challenge for WKN Spanish lightweight kickboxing belt. The names of their opponents will be announced shortly.
