KC-1, Location Undisclosed (October 8, 2019): Karate Combat has released the five main card fights from Karate Combat: Evolution including the battle for the Golden Belt between Edgars “The Bearslayer” Skrivers of Latvia and Luiz “Pitbull” Rocha of Brazil.

The event, with commentary by Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice, was shot with top of the line gear in line with the greatest martial arts movies of all time. The presentation included new video graphics in homage to the 80’s video games like Street Fighter that inspired so many of the fighters to take up karate. A 30-second primer explains Karate Combat’s innovative full contact rule set.

The co-Main Event is a brutal fight between Joshua “The Preacher” Quayhagen of Lake Charles, Louisiana against Dionicio “El Capitan” Gustavo of the Dominican Republic. The replay also features Abdalla Ibrahim of Egypt (currently training in New York City) vs. Davy “The Hurricane” Dona of France on decision; Sahin Atamov of Azerbaijan vs. Jorge Perez of the Dominican Republic; Spain’s Igor de Castenada vs. Hungary’s Zsolt Habda.

“Amazing to see these elite athletes transform into full-contact warriors,” said Adam S. Kovacs, Head of Karate. “There were some of the best bouts we’ve had to date. Action. Drama. Sweat and a little blood. We couldn’t have asked for a better match-up for our first title fight for the Golden Belt.”

The next fight from KC-1 will be announced soon for December 2019.
