An exciting Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) showdown will pit Jim Alers against Julian Lane in an action-packed contest that will serve as the co-main event of BKFC 8 on Saturday, October 19 live on pay-per-view from Florida State Fairgrounds Entertainment Hall in Tampa, Fla.

The event begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and is headlined by former UFC stars Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and Gabriel Gonzaga going toe-to-toe.

“We are always aiming to give the fans the best fights possible,” said BKFC founder and president David Feldman. “Jim Alers versus Julian Lane has fight of the year written all over it. As a fan of the sport, I can’t wait to see this matchup. We always want to make the most competitive fights possible. I’m really looking forward to October 19.”

“I’m the ‘Bare Knuckle Beast’,” said Alers. “Julian Lane is a good fighter, but I will put him to sleep like the rest of them. I’m the new king of bare knuckle! On October 19, I will own Julian Lane.”

“If you are bold enough to face me, expect destruction,” said Lane. “I’ve been through too much in my life to lose to Jim Alers. I will destroy him.”

BKFC 8 will be broadcast across the United States and Canada, exclusively on pay-per-view through MultiVision Media, Inc., on all major television distribution outlets for $29.99. It will also be available to BKFC’s international broadcast partners worldwide and via stream to all in-home and out-of-home connected devices through FITE.

Tickets for the live event are on sale exclusively at www.bareknuckle.tv. Florida will be hosting its’ second BKFC event of 2019, after previously holding the blockbuster BKFC 6 event headlined by Paulie Malignaggi vs. Artem Lobov in June.

Owning a 2-0 BKFC record along with a 14-4 ledger in pro MMA, Alers debuted in BKFC in June with a knockout victory over Elvin Leon Brito, before most recently defeating Leonard Garcia in a BKFC main event in August. The 32-year-old from Pembroke Pines, Fla. fought four times in the UFC, and seven times in the Cage Warriors promotion in the UK. He is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt under Vagner Rocha and has recorded a finish in 14 of his 16 BKFC and MMA wins.

Born in Woodbridge, Virginia and fighting out of Mansfield, Ohio, Lane bounced back from a BKFC loss to Leonard Garcia in February to decision Tom Shoaff in BKFC action in June. The 32-year-old is a veteran of 22 pro MMA bouts and was a cast member on seasons 16 and 25 of “The Ultimate Fighter” in addition to competing for Bellator, CES and Ring of Combat.
